WebIt might seem to be a stupid question, but my brand new BLTouch failed twice to register the touch and it pressed the nozzle into the bed hard. The limiting switch is still there, connected, but it seems that it's disabled with the firmware that enables BLTouch. I'm getting a replacement for the BLTouch, but still, the switch could be a failsafe.

Under 'Prepare -> Move Axis', move z to 0. Level the bed Manually - the most important step! Under 'Control -> Bed Leveling -> probe z-offset' Set that to 0 also. WebApr 4, 2024 · The BL Touch probe was in the down position on power up, but still showing red. It appears to have been stuck. I pushed it up and it immediately sprang back into life and the machine appears to be functioning normally now. I hope this helps. It has taken me many hours to find this solution!
