Not cruel at all, but 7 weeks is very young for a kitten to leave Mum and siblings and she may need some extra comfort, especially if the room gets cold at night - perhaps a pet safe heat pad, or similar. It sounds as if she has you wrapped around her tiny paw already and is living a lovely life. WebIf mom is partly feral, leaving them with her past 8 weeks may only reinforce some of her feral or wild behaviors on the kittens, which you definitely do not want. If she was tame and comfortable around people, I'd say go ahead and leave them a bit longer, but if she's more unruly or anxious around humans, take them away at 8 weeks.
