Civil 3d drawing slow to open
WebMar 12, 2015 · I am trying to do open a drawing that seems to be composed entirely of xrefs. It opens (finally) and is VERY slow to do anything. Even the movement of the cursor on the screen is slow. Is there any simple way to simply convert (?) the xref drawing to a "normal" drawing that isn't xref? WebMay 11, 2016 · Civil 3D being built on top of AutoCAD has nothing to do with the slowness. It's a crappy excuse Autodesk has come up with to justifying one to move to Infraworks. The main problem is not having a way to not update everything in Civil 3D.

Along with making sure you have plenty of RAM (16gb min really). Also look at your network speed.
