WebIf it's in a terminal, it's almost certainly the terminal 'rendering' the ^M character by performing a carriage-return movement. If you ran it in the Emacs terminal (edit: i.e. via M-x term), you would see the same, because the output filter handles that: WebMar 6, 2012 · Click F2 to select edit then Backspace to delete the invisible trailing character then Return to end the edit.
